How to Do a Love Meditation (the right way)

In 2011 I was engaged to a different man than I’m married to now.

While I was calling my sisters to be bridesmaids, he was deciding he didn’t want to be with me anymore. He wanted to be with someone else.

When I found out, I was heartbroken.

I also wasn’t in a very lovey mood, as I’m sure you can imagine.

I was pissed.

I was pissed at him. I was pissed at the universe. I was pissed at my spirit guides and God for allowing it to happen.

But I was very clear on one thing. I wanted a soul mate relationship. I wanted that deeper connection, the life-long companionship.

I was also clear that I wasn’t willing to wait for a year or two in order to heal and finally be with someone new.

I wanted to be married to the love of my life sooner rather than later.

I ranted and raved to my guides about how everything sucked and how they needed to fix this. Now.

They asked if I was serious and whether I was really committed to having that deeper, love relationship. I was. I SO was.

They told me for the next 30 days I needed to work on forgiving my ex and sending him and the woman he left me for love.

So I did.

Within 7 days of sending love to them for an hour a day, my husband (and love of my life) came into my life.

Within 30 days, we were in love.

Within 8 months, we were married.

This could not have been possible if I hadn’t learned to heal and forgive.

So, today, I’m giving you the exact meditation I used to forgive my ex.

There are two videos below. The first one explains how to do the meditation on your own, in case you don’t like to use guided meditations or want to go at your own pace.

The second one is the meditation I used. If you love it, bookmark it and listen to it as often as you desire.

Warning: There is no music in the guided meditation. I’m not (yet) that tech savvy. But, feel free to put on music of your choice with it.

How to Do a Love Meditation

Now I’d love to hear from you!

What was it like for you?

What was the lesson (if you’re comfortable sharing) in the relationship?

I cannot believe how liberating this felt…and how vivid my visualizations were. I do not consider myself to be seomone who naturally gravitates towads meditation and I have a very hyper mind…but this tool really really helped me quiet my mind, connect to a higher source and release a bunch of stuff that was bothering me…and today I feel GREAT! Thank you, this is truly a gift!

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

Thanks, Emily! I’m so glad it helped you! 🙂

Thank you Erin , I didn’t think it was possible to forgive on
that deep of.a level without strenuous effort. Very surprised how I feel now, had been holding on to this for 4 years… And it was a big one. Blessings and abundance and love to you for all you do to really help orthers. From the bottom of my heart.

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

Hi Theresa, I’m SO glad you found it helpful. It’s a powerful process. Feel free to share it with others you feel could benefit from it.

I was lucky enough to attend this meditation live with Erin-Ashley one time, and it was the most beautiful experience I have ever lived in meditation. Provided that we are open to it, this guided meditation really does work! It is simple, yet powerful, and the details of the vizualization are just beautiful. I’ve been waiting for this meditation to be posted online, and it is just as amazing as I remember it to be. The video on how to approach this meditation correctly was of tremendous help as well. My favorite idea was that we really need to connect with the frequency of the actual feeling/emotion first, before we go around sending love to it. I have not heard that before spelled out so clearly. It only makes sense. Thank you, Erin-Ashley, for this priceless gift!

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

Hi Christina! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Please stay tuned to the emails, because I’ll be making a full 26 minute version of it with music available in the near future. For free, because I really do believe it’s my ministry.

Oh I’m staying tuned to the emails alright, trust me! I never miss your emails. They’re wonderful. Thank you for everything you do to help us grow! 🙂

  5. Aleishia says:

This is a beautiful meditation! I have learned another technique for connecting on a soul level, but this was by far easier for me to do. I appreciate the clarity in which you set the meditation up. Such as, making the distinction that some people feel vs see energy (this was helpful for me) and that expressing any emotion is ok due to the energy of the room. It was refreshing to hear you address these things up front and it allowed me to let go and be in the moment with the meditation. Thank you for sharing. xo

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s a wonderful meditation process. 🙂

  6. Theresa says:

Thank you for sharing his very valuable tool to forgive the right way… I’m going to repeat this process when feeling blocked by my old pattern of holding on to my feelings in the situation… Once I was able to express those feelings, and ask for the lesson it truly was magical… The answer came quick but not forced. Thank you again. I have a lot of peace about this situation now. Now going forward lighter and with understanding.

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

I’m so glad to hear that, Theresa! Sending you love as you forgive and release.

  7. Dee says:

Thank you so much for this! While I was seeing the person enter the room and face me and expressing my feelings, tears were streaming down my face. Is that normal or okay? and I’m a bit confused as to where or how the answer comes from when you ask for the lesson. Do I hear the person saying the answer and it comes from my own thoughts or realisation? and do you think that lesson keeps changing from one meditation to another?
and one last thing, when we’re connecting with the deeper emotions first, do we try to do that before or during the meditation?
Again thank you so much for this! Would love to hear your reply

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

      Dee,

You are welcome! Many people cry when they do this, since it’s such a powerful exercise. There are many theories about where the lessons come from. My own personal belief is that the soul of the other person does arrive in the room in some form or fashion to help you learn the lesson you both decided on before the relationship happened. There are usually many lessons to learn, so often the lesson will change when you do the meditation again. As far as the deeper emotions, simply allow whatever comes up to be. Sometimes the emotion you connect with before you meditate will change once you go through the process. That’s perfectly ok. Whatever needs to come up will come up, and as long as it’s honored the healing will happen easily and perfectly.

Thank you so much for doing this important work. Forgiving another can be difficult, but it is one of the most beautiful experiences and it opens you up for miracles.

      Wishing you the best,
      Erin-Ashley

  8. Chris says:

Thank you for this! The love of my life left me almost a year ago and I’ve been struggling with moving on. I found out recently that she me her “soul mate” and is engaged. This brought up a bunch of fresh pain. I’m going to try your approach as nothing else seems to have worked 😉

  9. Ruth says:

Thank you! I truly enjoyed this whole experience. I cried, I felt so much anger and pain but was able to release it and tell him “face to face” that I love and forgive him. When I opened my eyes at the end, I felt happier. Thank you so much!!!!!

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

      You are so welcome!

  10. Lily says:

    Hi,
I would like to know which technique you use to get in touch and get answers from your Spirit Guides, and how long did it take you to refine your technique in order to understand clearly the answers from them..
And thank you for this helpful input on healing and forgiving.

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

      Hi Lily,

I created a bonus video for a program that teaches exactly that. It has since been opened up to the public and here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgF3a6ige74

      Sending love,

        Hi Erin,
I’ve been doing you love meditation several times and I find it very helpful getting through a very similar situation to the one you described.
I seem to get somehow stuck at the moment to recieve or percieve the answer from the persons I’m working with. Is there any advice you can give me to be more sensitive or to understand better any kind of signal I could be getting?
        Thank you so much!

  11. Noor says:

    Hi dear,

Your article is just very helpful, I have an enquiry, if I want to do a forgiveness meditation for multiple persons I feel bad about them, I had some short relationships and most of them were very hurtful I keep remembering them, I wish to know shall I do the forgiveness meditation for all of them at once every day or shall I every 7 days one person..

    With all my love..
    Thanks

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

      Noor,

I recommend just allowing whatever comes up for you in the moment to be there – so if it’s just one person, work with just one person. If it’s multiple people, work with multiple people! There’s no wrong way to do forgiveness work!

      Sending love,
      EA

  13. Brittany says:

I felt the vibrations for sure, I am so relaxed now. But I am pretty sure it was saying something to me though, I felt sexual passion more than love. When you asked to let them send their light I didn’t see as much as I was sending =( but he kissed me deeply and then I felt him send the light. Does this mean something? I got tingles down my spine when I was telling him what I feel and I almost got emotional.

  14. Sasha says:

I truly appreciated and enjoyed this meditation. But, I experienced a tremendous headache towards the end of it… (any particular reasons why?). Also, I am still unclear about the lesson I should learn (no specific reasons/life lessons behind the relationship was/were made clear to me – perhaps this may be revealed in subsequent meditations?)

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

Hi Sasha, I’m so glad you tried the meditation. The headache usually signals a pretty significant release. Make sure you drink plenty of water after a meditation session like this. Don’t worry about the lesson if it’s not obvious during the meditation. It will crystallize with time. 🙂

  15. Rhonda says:

I didn’t feel I received an answer for what is the life lesson or higher purpose. Should I repeat the meditation until tha becomes clear?

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

      Yes, keep at it. 🙂

  16. genelia says:

Hey..can i ask you sth if you don’t mind please?
So the question is …if i like someone so much and want to be with him but not in touch with him..so is there any meditation or telepathic way that can help me to get him?

  17. Danielle says:

    Hi
I appreciated this meditation – found it good visual and spiritual work. When I tried it the first time my guest hid from me in the room – which is reflective of him. When I tried it the second time he came – but no information no lesson.
Any thoughts on how to better receive the lesson?
I continue to send him love and light – because I know he’s doing the best he can.
    Thank you very much.

  18. Hifsa says:

What if you want to be with your ex? I mean what if you want to be with the same person who wants to be with someone else? Would this meditation work for it too? Thank you! ?

  19. C says:

Is it normal to cry when they go to leave the room. I cant stop crying since then to the end. I didn’t want him to leave 🙁

  20. Alex says:

Hi, i like to use this meditation time from time and i feel it helped me when i was going through some problems in my relationship.Latle when im trying to use this to get ride of som resentment when person did something that hurt my feelings ..i feel like im not getting through..i cant let go of this bad feeling..is it becausr of me or because this person as well feeling bad? Can others person personal condition/feelings at this moment (like anger, confusing, hoplesness) influend the result of meditation?

  21. Tristin says:

can I use this love meditation for a specific person? I havea boy that i really like and me and him have a connection, but i wanna delve deeper into it spiritually cna i do that? like can I say his name and have him come into the white room?

  22. Keri says:

This was really emotional for me. I was expecting someone to walk through the door but someone I wasn’t expecting walked through and I wanted to ignore him and I realized that I should not be ignoring him but I didn’t want the other person to leave the room because the connection between the two was something I needed to forgive myself and them for. I first dealt with the person I really wanted to deal with and it was so hard but I forgave him and told him I loved him and let him leave. Then I faced the man that I ended up breaking up with for the man that just left the room. I told him why he made me mad and I told him why I broke up with him. I am blessed that I found this online to understand that my issues may be a little more deep then what I believe them to be and that I need to focus that powerful energy into love and not fear. Thank you so much.

How to meditate for marrying my lover who got married but still loves me..bt he is not thinking about marrying me.. Kindly provide me a lecture of meditation to marry him

  24. Mikea says:

I’m learning to accept some things as they are and not allow wrry to consume me. I must allow others, my friend that i foused on in tge love meditatio, to feel what he wants to feel. I cannot control his feelings or reactions, but i can own and control my own. In my situation with Chris, I was mot open with him. I believe i hurt him because of that. I allowed the very fear of rejection i had, to lead me in exactly what i was afraid of…rejection. chris did not respond to what shared with him in the way I thought he would. But now, I am ok with that. I am ok

  25. Elizabeth says:

I loved this. Thank you so much for sharing this. It has opened many doors for my to not only forgive myself but to forgive others that have been on my journey with me.

  26. Tommy says:

Thank. You for this meditation. I am beginning to experience the power of meditation and other aspects of my spirituality. Your help is very important and valuable to me. I will continue to practice and explore. Thanks again.

  27. Faye says:

I just did two rounds of this meditation. One on my mother and the other on this guy that I’m trying to move on from. The meditation on forgiving my mother went well. The meditation on the guy didn’t go as planned. I asked him to leave the white room and he wouldn’t. I kept receiving a resounding knowing that he felt that he belonged there. All my attempts for getting him to leave failed. Even when i increased my gratitude for him. Even when I wished him well. So, eventually I left the room since he wouldn’t. He only stood up to watch me walk down the stairs. I was sad to leave him behind in MY white room. My mom had no problem leaving the room when i asked her to leave. Yet, he remains. And seems very at peace just hanging out in MY white room. Any tips here? what does it mean?

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

Hi Faye! This is pretty rare. What I’d do is ask the angels to assist you. This is almost always a vibrational issue – so you’ll want to work on making sure you’re in a really high vibration before you start. Also, I’d take a break from working with this guy and focus on self-forgiveness/self-love and see how that goes – sometimes focusing on ourselves (or someone else) will give the energetic shifts that allow these energetic boundaries to strengthen. I usually see this dynamic when someone has either had poor boundaries or has had their boundaries repeatedly ignored/violated. Keep at it and I hope this helps!

  28. Bhagyashree says:

Will it really work if I do it? I want to marry a guy who is my friend but he is not actually thinking about me as his life partner.. 🙁

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

This love meditation will help you release your struggle around this guy. It’s not designed to make him marry you, it’s designed to help you step into your source of love and power. <3 I hope that helps clarify!

      1. Bhagyashree says:

Thank you Ashley.. I will do this and let you you the experience

  29. Lola Ramos says:

Hi thanks for the above! I’ve been meditating for a while now and I’m astounded by results. I can’t wait to meet my soul mate however I keep seeing a specific person I know holding me and being extremely affectionate. This happens after I send out my soul call.Is this person my soulmate?

  30. Rachel says:

Very powerful and much needed. Thank you for this. How often did you do this meditation before you felt af peace with your situation?

  31. Tues goldie says:

Please is just going to be forgiveness or it will you get your man back ..I want to know .I have being hurt for 8years

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

It’s about releasing the hurt, so this process isn’t about bringing someone back but rather about finding emotional freedom regardless of whether they come back or not.

  32. Tara says:

Went into the meditation with open mind and heart, but did wonder how I could actually expect an answer. Was quite surprised when he answered clearly and I knew immediately the answer was correct. A beautiful way to learn a lesson. After the meditation…I felt happy to have had the experience. I was thinking it is not really him giving me the answer, but me. It was beautiful to spend time with him, because I miss him, and I do realize it is my own truth…in the experience. That he was not really there and that it was an experience of my own making. That makes me a bit sad, because I love him and miss him, and wish the experience was a real physical connection. But, the meditation was quite worthwhile, as it helped me to see and feel truthfully what issues are significant in my life. Thank You!

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

That’s wonderful! If you don’t believe you can connect with the higher self of someone, that’s fine! But if you’re open to it, consider that your higher selves can speak with one another even if you don’t physically keep in touch anymore. Big love to you!

  33. Daisy Campbell says:

I have been heartbroken over the weekend and I am feeling like I can’t cope with this pain. I thought I was finally able to be happy and now it feels out of my reach. Thank you for this story and meditation. Is the full video available?

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

I’m sorry to hear that, Daisy. I’m not sure what you mean about the full video? Both videos are on the post.

  34. Asia says:

I’m so glad I found this meditation today. When I searched google for how to send someone love through meditation. I was thinking of a someone I’m in like with, and it led me to a reconciliation with someone I know I need to let go of. My message from him was I needed to learn self love. At the end even his dog showed up for a second, and I absolutely loved her like she was my own. They exited together. Thank you so much!

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

What a wonderful experience, Asia! Thank you for sharing.

  35. Javier says:

It seems I’m the only guy here. I’ll try to write in English but that’s not my first language. I had this girlfriend in college a long time ago. I broke her heart because I did something stupid and got involved with another lady. After that, each one of us had other partners but remained as friends. To this day I never stopped loving her because she is so sweet and kind and has this beautiful light inside her. I always wanted her back and I always felt like crap for hurting her. Two years ago she married some guy and she broke my heart. I was so full of bitter sadness and pain since then, that I stopped talking to her at all. But recently we have started talking a little bit and I like it because I missed her so much. I have started to accept things the way they are now and I think I will be happy by seeing her happy.

During medidation when we met in the white room, she said “I love you too. But it just wasn’t the right time for us to be together. I already forgave you” (and I could even feel when she hugged me). Here I cried a little. And then she said “Yes, of course I would like to be your friend”.

On the lesson part she said “Open yourself to receive love from above and let me go”.

Thank you so much for the videos. It was a beautiful experience.

    1. Erin-Ashley says:

I’m so glad you got that release from the meditation. Yes, we’re light on men around here. That’s because – in part – men aren’t as free to talk about their emotional or spiritual experiences as women. May you continue to be blessed!

  36. Bri says:

Wow I did not to expect to feel tears in my eyes the second the other person’s energy came in. What was crazy for me was also feeling my uncle’s presence in the room, as if to comfort me through this and let me know it was going to be ok. My uncle passed away 3 years ago. I’m definitely going to have to come back to this to continue the healing process. Thank you so much for sharing this!

  37. Matt says:

Wow. Did this for the first time and amazed . I don’t believe I have received all of my lessons yet but came out of it crying and feeling lighter. Did this for the person I love as have been together for 4 years . We had a terrible fight where my frustration and anger got the better of me due to our situation. We haven’t spoken in close to a week now and missing her terribly. She mirrored my every move when speaking to her asking for forgiveness for my anger. Followed me around the white room . Held my hand . She didn’t speak to me about a lesson but this is also her in life. Difficult discussions she has a tough time dealing with. Thank you for this and will be doing it again. I hope she felt me as my energy was enhanced as well as my love .
