I’m Reverend Erin-Ashley Kerti, the founder of Spiritual Mechanic.
(It’s pronounced Care-Tea, because we all know tea is delicious.)
My name means Peace-Tree Spark Plug.
This means I am of peace and work to create that in all areas of my life, from the roots to each individual interaction.
But I’m also a spark plug, so don’t think for a second I won’t light a fire under your ass to get you started on your journey. 😉
I started Spiritual Mechanic to help empaths and other psychically sensitive individuals learn how to step into their soul purposes and heal the world.
I help folks all the way from learning to talk to their guides for the very first time to building a financially stable, ethical, and robus spiritual based internet business.
I’ve taught thousands of sensitive people since I began this work in 2011.
Here’s how I got here.
I am a tinkerer of concepts.
You see, I come from a long line of engineers. While I have the same math and science ability as my ancestors, I’m drawn more strongly to concepts and spirituality than anything else. (I still do math for fun, though.)
I’ve always sensed energy, known things without knowing how I knew them, and understood other people’s emotions and the causes.
I didn’t understand HOW any of that worked, but it didn’t seem that important to me.
That changed when I was 19.
In 2004 I became very ill, but no one knew, including myself.
I went to the doctor several times for feeling stressed and tired, but he couldn’t find anything in the blood work and told me to relax more.
I assumed it was in my head.
The dream I’ll never forget
One night I dreamed that I was in the hospital wearing a hospital gown with a weird blue-green pattern, in a wheelchair and happy. I felt peace in the dream, which was very odd because I did not associate hospitals with any positive emotions. Instead, I hated hospitals and even feared them.
I awoke with a start.
I half thought it was a premonition at that time — and half thought I was off my rocker.
While I don’t usually get detailed dreams, this dream was like looking at a photograph.
I still remember it more vividly than my dream last night.
Two months later I went to the hospital with pneumonia.
While I was wearing that exact hospital gown I had worn in my dream, the doctors diagnosed me with a very rare disease called Addison’s Disease.
Once my health stabilized, one of the doctors told me that without that diagnosis, they “only would have found out in the autopsy.”
That “woke me up” to the fact that there is much more to the universe than what we see and know.
But, as so often is the case, I just pushed it to the background and continued doing what I thought I was supposed to do.
I went to college and got involved in extracurriculars.
I had success there.
Then things changed.
In 2009 I had a major breakdown.
I knew I needed to teach people something, but I had no idea what it was. My intuition was trying to guide me, but I was (am) stubborn as hell. I resisted.
My heart was no longer in the work I was doing.
I suffered from panic attacks. I cut off from friends and colleagues. I went into a depression. My body got very sick.
From this place of being my most broken, I started my work.
Here’s what I did.
- Looking for guidance, I started to explore spirituality.
- I meditated for 3 hours a day for 3 months to see what would happen.
- Willing to do whatever it took, I purchased, borrowed and (I’m ashamed to say) stole any spiritual guidance I could get my hands on.
I didn’t seek out teachers who spouted off useful platitudes like “forgive others” and “let go” and “be in the present moment!” Instead, I sought teachers who gave practical how-tos and step-by-step guidance on HOW to do these things.
In 2011, two years after the breakdown, I finally broke through. I understood that I’m here to teach others about practical spirituality.
After moving to Las Vegas, I received Professional Intuitive Training from world-renowned intuitive counselor, Erin Pavlina.
I graduated from the University of Metaphysical Sciences in 2012 with a Bachelor of Divinity and obtained my ordination in 2013.
This learning changed things for me.
You see, in order to LIVE your ideal life, your spirituality has to be practical.
It must be something you can practice.
And I love to mix practicality and spirituality.
You’ll never hear me say something like, “Forgive your ex for being a jerk” and not follow it up with the exact steps to take to forgive them.
If you can’t apply the information, it’s useless.
I give you the tools you need to apply spiritual platitudes in realistic ways.
I specialize in forgiveness (letting go) and tapping into your intuition.
Here’s what I promise you from Spiritual Mechanic.
